Have A Question About Your Credit Score?

Is Your Credit Report Wrong?

According to this week's report on 60 Minutes, there are 40 million credit report mistakes out there! That's a pretty sick number considering that 200 million Americans have been 'scored'. That's a 20% error rate!

If you have any questions about what a credit score entails, check out today's 'Cool Site of the Day' and excellent resource, CreditScoreResource.com

As for the 60 Minutes report, millions of Americans got a wake-up call about their flawed credit scores.

Coincdentally, I was recently hired by a company to help them with their Internet marketing. What do they do? They provide free credit reports to consumers.

Obscure? Random? Necessary? These were the thoughts going through my head when I was first approached to work for them.

After just a few weeks of working for FreeCreditScoreInc.com, I realized the importance -- no, the absolute necessity -- of checking to make sure your credit score has no mistakes. Or, if there's something from your reckless financial past that could impede you from getting a much needed loan, you should definitely know about it.

Here's what I learned: by law, everyone can order a free credit report once a year. These reports will show the credit scores generated on your behalf by the big 3 credit reporting agencies: Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.

Free Credit ScoreAs to the 40 million mistakes reported by 60 Minutes (link to video below), this is NOT good if you think that you will be applying for a loan in the near future. Car loan? Home loan? General credit card? Retail store credit card? You can be denied any one of these if your credit score has been botched (just watch the 60 Minutes videos for a couple of horror stories).

My advice is to order a free credit report from FreeCreditScoreInc.com today...it just may blow your mind.
